Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that Fabio Corominas has joined the firm as a partner in its Mexico City office.  Before joining DACB, Fabio was a partner at Harrsch & Corominas, a boutique litigation firm he founded in 2017 focused on commercial litigation and arbitration.

Prior to setting up his own law firm, Fabio was Head of Litigation at the City Hall of Naucalpan, México State, where he led the litigation team in all disputes involving the Municipality.  He previously served as the Head of Litigation for the Mexico Tourism Board, managing and supervising public bids, representing the Board in all kinds of litigation, and supervising and coordinating the Board’s external law firms.  Fabio started his career at Baker & McKenzie where he spent nine years in the litigation team.

DACB’s Mexico office head Miguel Ángel De la Fuente, said, “Fabio is well known in the Mexican market and highly experienced in both public and private sector litigation.  He brings local litigation expertise, a well-developed understanding of client service, an international approach, and a background in managing his own business that will be invaluable to our growing team here.  We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

“With his strong portfolio of civil, commercial and administrative litigation, Fabio will be key in helping us further develop our capabilities in Mexico and beyond, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service across LatAm,” added Andrés Amunátegui, DACB’s Head of Latin America.

Fabio said, “I’m very pleased to have joined DACB.  The firm has an excellent reputation across Latin America, and I am looking forward to working with the team in Mexico to grow the office and expand our capabilities for the benefit of our clients.”

Just last month DAC Beachcroft secured another set of strong results in The Legal 500 Latin America 2023, including a ranking in Insurance in Mexico.  Miguel Ángel De la Fuente was also recognised as a ‘Next Generation Partner’.

In August the firm retained its top-tier Band 1 ranking for Insurance: International Counsel in the 2023 Chambers Guide to Latin America in recognition of its ability to handle high-level cross-border mandates involving Latin America.  The firm also maintained its Band 2 rankings for Insurance in Chile and Colombia, and retained its Band 3 ranking for Insurance in Mexico.
