Governance and Compliance in Healthcare

In the health and social care sector organisations are constantly under pressure to meet the expectations of government, regulatory bodies, commissioners, investors, service users, and other stakeholders. Transparency and accountability are critical to ensuring that you meet these expectations, despite economic pressures. Good governance is an enabler within any business but is also crucial for success and ensuring compliance in the health and social care sector.

Working within our leading health and social care team our governance experts specialise in helping health and social care organisations implement effective governance practices.

We understand the unique challenges and complexities of this sector and can work with you to ensure that good governance is at the core of your organisation. Effective governance acts as an enabler to your sector business, and also delivers improvements in safety and performance, demonstrates accountability and leadership within a highly regulated environment, and meets the ever-increasing demands of your stakeholders.

Our specialist governance work encompasses both corporate and clinical governance in sector context. This includes a wide range of governance solutions such as evaluations of board and committee effectiveness, the design and implementation of governance models, advice on corporate structures, due diligence analysis within transactions, board development sessions on good governance and achieving assurance, in addition to reactive advice on investigations and in response to regulatory interventions.

We also provide training and mentoring for boards and their members, best practice advice on reporting and constitutional documentation, and company secretarial support. Additionally, we offer guidance on public and private sector integrated delivery, as well as advice on subsidiary governance, accountability and reporting arrangements.

Our clinical governance advice is delivered with deep knowledge and experience of the sector, ensuring sector best practice works hand in hand with regulatory requirements, quality and safety drivers, a learning culture with accountability, and the bespoke needs of your particular health and social care business, irrespective of scale and complexity.

Most importantly, by working with us you benefit from our board-level experience, bespoke approach, and legally sound, practical solutions. We offer complete discretion, detailed proposals and market-leading expertise you can trust.
