We have significant experience in handling our clients' full portfolio of claims, from attritional volume through to complex, high value and high profile matters. Recent examples include business interruption disputes arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic (including acting in all of the major test cases in this area), the Grenfell Tower fire and the Exeter University WWII bomb detonation.

Our team is well versed in working closely with adjusters and experts to provide major incident crisis management services.

Irrespective of the nature of the claim before us, our focus is always on giving advice that is commercial, cost effective and that aligns with our clients' approach to customer care.

The team is experienced in finding innovative and commercial solutions for our clients. From county courts to the Supreme Court, we have significant litigation experience, as well as running arbitration, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution procedures.

  • COVID BI: We represented 2 of the 8 insurers in the FCA Test Case on COVID-19 business interruption and have been involved in all of the major subsequent litigation, including the £1bn Stonegate trial, Corbin & King v AXA, TKC v Allianz, Various Eateries v Allianz, Pizza Express v Liberty, Gatwick Investments v Liberty, International Entertainment Holdings v Allianz.
  • We represent the main contractor in the Grenfell Tower enquiry and associated civil and criminal proceedings.
  • We represented insurers in successfully arguing that losses arising out of the detonation of an old WWII bomb in Exeter were caught by a war exclusion.
