Sam is an Advocate in our specialist advocacy service, 8 DAC Beachcroft Buildings (8DB).

Sam’s practice encompasses general civil litigation, particularly in the areas of credit hire, RTAs, and personal injury.  Sam has regular experience of conducting Small Claims Track trials where liability or quantum are disputed, Stage 3 Hearings, alongside acting in interlocutory hearings.  Sam also accepts drafting and advisory instructions across all areas of his practice on an ad hoc basis.

Sam has gained commercial litigation experience at 8DB, working alongside colleagues on international arbitration matters including:

•  ongoing assistance on ICC arbitration proceedings for a Korean manufacturer in a USD $2 million oil & gas arbitration against an Italian entity.

Prior to joining 8DB, Sam gained substantial experience working as a Paralegal at Simmons & Simmons, in the Financial Markets Litigation Team acting for a high-street bank.  Sam has a strong comprehension of the practical and strategic implications of recent authorities in the area of PPI and consumer credit, such as Smith and Burrell v RBS and Canada Square v Potter.
