Joanne Kingsland is a casualty lawyer in our Newcastle office. She specialises in employers' and public liability claims on behalf of local authorities.
Her experience includes:
Multiple claims involving allegations of historic physical and sexual abuse at council run institutions;
Allegations of councils failing to protect children from harm by their parents;
Injuries arising out of sporting accidents and outdoor play in schools.
Joanne has acted on a couple of landmark cases. These were for Middlesbrough in the House of Lords in the limitation case of A v Hoare, and in the Court of Appeal case of Dunn v Durham Council relating to disclosure of information relating to third parties.
Joanne qualified in 1989 and joined DAC Beachcroft in May 2016.
