Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has announced the launch of an internal training series to enhance the capability of the firm’s lawyers in supporting clients on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations.

The training, which is being delivered by specialist legal ESG education and advisory consultancy, Stories Evolved, includes a mix of webinars focused on the rapidly-changing context of business and legal services, and how ESG connects to the day-to-day advisory work across the firm’s sectors.

Stories Evolved will also deliver a bespoke simulation event, which will see lawyers from the firm’s Corporate, Real Estate, Insurance and Disputes & Investigations teams collaboratively designing solutions to an ESG-related crisis event being experienced by a ‘client’.

Led by the firm’s newly-appointed Head of ESG, Lois Duguid, the training series is a further development of DAC Beacroft’s ESG offering and addresses the firm’s published commitments on Talent & Leadership.

Lois commented, “ESG considerations impact almost every decision and activity across the sectors in which we operate. We want our clients to adapt and thrive in the changing landscape – one of increasing regulation and litigation. This is why we are committed to investing in our lawyers, so they can continue to navigate clients’ ESG concerns, commitments and ambitions through the delivery of our legal services.”

In 2022 DACB announced the launch of it ESG strategy, hosted on the firm’s ESG microsite, which is the culmination of a project to identify what the firm and its clients want to see action on.
