Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has once again performed strongly in The Legal 500’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) 2022 edition, with new recognition this year for its Paris and Dublin teams.

In France, The Legal 500 has named DACB a ‘Firm To Watch’ in Insurance for the first time following the firm’s launch there in 2019.  The Parisian team focuses on both global and domestic Insurance and the Industrial Risks sector.

DACB’s Dublin office has achieved first-time recognition in The Legal 500 in Real Estate, also being named a ‘Firm to Watch’.  This recognition follows the addition of partner Ronan McLoughlin to bolster the firm’s Real Estate capabilities in autumn 2020.

Beyond Real Estate, the Dublin team also maintained a solid set of rankings across seven further areas, including:

  • Dispute Resolution (Band 2; Lisa Broderick named as Leading Individual)
  • Data Privacy & Data Protection (Band 2; Rowena McCormack named as Next Generation Partner)
  • Healthcare & Life Sciences (Band 2)
  • Insurance (Band 2; Noreen Howard named as a Leading Individual)
  • Public Sector (Band 2; Aidan Healy named as a Rising Star)
  • Employment (Band 3)
  • Information Technology (Band 3)

Finally, in Spain, DACB’s Insurance practice was once again ranked in Band 2 with one client describing the team as the “leading specialists in Insurance and in particular cross-border claims…They are dynamic, commercial, forward-thinking and a delight to deal with.”  Furthermore, partners José María Álvarez-Cienfuegos and Pablo Guillén were both recognised as ‘Leading Individuals’.

The Madrid team were also ranked in the category of Dispute Resolution, where one client praised the team’s “impeccable technical knowledge and extensive experience.”

DACB’s strong set of results in The Legal 500 EMEA follows the publication of the Chambers & Partners Europe 2022 Guide last month, in which DACB achieved a total of six rankings.

The firm’s European network – Dublin, Madrid and Paris – is complemented by its UK presence in eleven locations and five other offices globally.
