Deborah Hely

Deborah Hely qualified as a barrister in 1988 and trained as a solicitor in London.

She advises on a wide range of employment law issues including TUPE, large-scale redundancies, disability discrimination claims, High Court injunctions, restrictive covenants, data protection, race and sex discrimination, and industrial relations.

She has represented clients at mediations and is an experienced advocate.

Deborah is the key client contact for DHL, UK Mail, Bentley Motors and Places for People Group. She also acts for a number of NHS Trusts and independent sector health businesses.

Deborah leads the Manchester Employment team who were awarded Employment Law Team of the Year at the Manchester Law Society Legal Awards in 2016.

Deborah was a part-time lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University in Employment Law and Contract Law, and chairs a network for HR Leaders in the Independent Health and Social Care Sector.
