International law firm DAC Beachcroft has been accredited as a Living Wage employer, signaling the firm’s support of the Living Wage movement.
To signify the accreditation, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, presented the firm’s Senior Partner, Virginia Clegg, with a plaque at a ceremony in London.
“Every single business has an impact on wider society. The Living Wage Foundation is working hard to ensure that people do not have to work numerous jobs, and suffer the inevitable impact on family lives and personal wellbeing, to make a living. We are proud to support and raise awareness of the Living Wage movement,” commented Virginia Clegg, Senior Partner at DAC Beachcroft.
Prior to its accreditation, DAC Beachcroft worked with its suppliers and restructured contracts to ensure people working on the firm’s sites are paid the Living Wage.
The accreditation is the latest pledge from DAC Beachcroft as part of its ongoing commitment to Responsible Business. Other examples include the firm’s signing of the Mindful Business Charter to demonstrate the importance placed on supporting physical and mental wellbeing. The firm has also signed the Time to Change campaign employer pledge, signalling that the firm wants everyone to think and act positively about mental health.
