Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of health property partners Victoria Armstrong and Lisa Geary.

Victoria joins DACB from Sintons, where she was a partner in the firm's real estate department. A public sector property specialist, she brings particular expertise in advising healthcare professionals, NHS bodies, foundation trusts, ambulance trusts, developers, local authorities and educational organisations.

Victoria's focus will be on north-east England, as well as supporting DACB's wider real estate health strategy to identify and maintain key strategic relationships and increase its independent sector work.

Lisa has joined DACB from Capsticks, where she was a partner, head of real estate and location head for the firm's Leeds office. She has extensive experience of advising NHS Trusts, primary care providers and other healthcare bodies in the Yorkshire and wider northern region on all aspects of their property requirements.

In her new role, Lisa will strengthen DACB's regional and national health practice and continue delivering bespoke training programmes to NHS estate managers and board directors. She will also provide specialist legal advice to the firm's fast-growing national portfolio of charity real estate clients.

Hamza Drabu, partner and Head of Health at DAC Beachcroft, comments, "Healthcare organisations remain under pressure to deliver improved outcomes for the people they serve. As new models of care emerge, and with capital constraints in the NHS, our clients are increasingly seeking advice on real estate issues to ensure that health and care can be provided in world class premises.

"As we continue to invest in our health business to meet our clients' needs, we are looking forward to seeing Victoria and Lisa unlock the wider opportunities with our health sector colleagues and using their vast understanding of the property sector to contribute to the continued growth of our health property business."

DACB is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal advisor to the health and social care sector in the UK and internationally. The firm's work for public and independent healthcare clients was acknowledged at the recent HealthInvestor Awards 2023, where DACB was named 'Legal Advisor of the Year – Public' for the third successive time and 'Legal Advisor of the Year – Private' for the second time in three years.
