The last 70 years has seen many milestones for the NHS and here, partner Anne Crofts, takes a look at the many landmarks on our National Health Service’s journey from 1948 to 2018. Throughout the 70-year lifespan of the NHS, mental health services have evolved in line with the changing health and social care system. These changes have been part of a positive and pioneering journey, led by the NHS, and one which DAC Beachcroft examines here. The NHS has seen many changes since its inception in 1948.
