Peter joined the firm in August 1999. He has experience of defending a wide variety of employers' liability, public liability and industrial disease claims, before specialising in complex Motor claims on behalf of composite insurers and large self-insured organisations. He was made Partner in May 2012.
Within the firm’s national Claims Solutions Group, Peter leads the Motor Pre-Litigation Services based in the Newport office. He also sits on Motor injury core management team where he is responsible for quality, service delivery and product development, as well as managing relationships with various clients.
Peter leads on market reforms which impact the firm's Motor clients. He has written articles and presented seminars and webinars relating to the MoJ process for low value motor claims, and was the author of the 2012 DAC Beachcroft publication: ‘RTA process: clear road ahead?’ More recently, Peter has spoken at major industry conferences on the subject of whiplash reform. He is a regular commentator on technological advancements in the motor claims industry, to include the development of autonomous vehicle technology and its impact on motor insurers.
Peter is currently the Head of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers' Motor Sector Focus Team and sits on the Expert Audit and Peer Review sub-committee of MedCo.
