Nelson is a member of the firm’s Global London group, focusing on resolution of complex commercial disputes, particularly in the areas of re/insurance, product liability and recall, property and construction. He is heavily involved in the handling of high-profile matters, including the FCA Test Case, Policyholders v China Taiping Insurance, and Stonegate v MS Amlin & Ors.

As the Head of China Desk, Nelson supports Asia-Pac clients in relation to their business interests in the UK (and vice versa). He further facilitates the provision by the Firm (and its global network of offices) of legal services to our Asian clients across a wide spectrum of practice areas. Nelson lists a number of leading Chinese companies as his clients. He is also a Committee member and Secretary of the Association of Chinese Insurance Professionals in the UK.

Nelson speaks Mandarin and Cantonese at a native level, as well as some Japanese (having passed JLPT 1). He is qualified to practice law in both England & Wales and the state of New York, USA.
