Cathryn is a Real Estate lawyer in our London office. She specialises in institutional and private investment work, development work, landlord and tenant matters, disposals and acquisitions, retail lettings and corporate support work.

Cathryn's experience includes:

• Acting for several leading retailers, including several supermarket chains on their acquisitions of leasehold and freehold properties and the associated development work, including acting for developers on the acquisition and development of several out-of-town commercial and mixed-use sites;
• Acting for a landowner in a £9 million phased sale of branches of land with planning aspects to a Housing Association including tax planning, funding and top-up funding arrangements and complex title issues;
• Acting for a global shopping centre owner on the initial lettings of more than 25 retail units in their various centres throughout the UK.

Prior to joining DAC Beachcroft, Cathryn worked in-house for a property investment company where the work involved the promotion of large areas of land for residential development involving strategic acquisitions, optioning land for future development, land consortium arrangements and large-scale planning applications, and was part of the team that secured planning permission for one of the largest planning applications in the UK at the Priors Hall site in Corby.

Recently, she spent a year on secondment at Lend Lease assisting the in-house legal team on the disposal of Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Cathryn qualified in 2001 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2005.
