Rachael is a Real Estate lawyer in our Manchester office specialising in dispute management and resolution.
She provides strategic advice to developers and institutional landlords with a particular focus on property asset management and development, advising on the full range of contentious landlord and tenant issues, site assembly for development schemes (including compulsory purchase), issues surrounding easements and restrictive covenants, and rights to light.
In addition, she advises commercial tenants (both public and private sector) in relation to estate management disputes, dilapidations and service charge issues and the disposal of leasehold property.
Rachael's experience includes:
Advising Cheshire West and Chester Council in relation to the successful CPO of land to facilitate the regeneration of Northwich Town Centre;
Leading all contentious asset management work in relation to a cross-sector property portfolio of approximately £2bn for an institutional landlord client;
Advising on and settling a £3m lease renewal dispute for a household name tenant that involved complex issues of valuation and disclosure.
Rachael qualified in 2004 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2008.
Rachael is recommended by the Legal 500 and ranked as an Associate to Watch by Chambers, which quotes clients as saying that she "provides quick and comprehensive responses and she doesn't sit on the fence."
