Jade Kowalski advises clients across a number of different sectors on a range of data protection issues including complex data sharing arrangements, telematics, big data initiatives and data security breach management. She has notable experience in undertaking privacy impact assessments in advance of the roll out of new technologies and managing data transfer projects across multiple jurisdictions. She has particular specialism in advising on data protection issues in the insurance industry having completed four secondments in the insurance sector.
Jade is currently working with a number of clients to develop and implement compliance programmes in advance of the implementation of the new European General Data Protection Regulation.
Jade holds the BCS Professional Qualification in Data Protection.
Jade's experience includes:
conducting a fully outsourced GDPR gap analysis and preparing a "readiness report" for a large insurer;
undertaking a privacy impact assessment of the risks and compliance steps required in advance of the use of a "big data lake" for customer segmentation and marketing purposes; and
advising on notification requirements in the event of a data breach arising from cyber extortion.
