Belinda Dix is a healthcare regulatory lawyer in our London and Winchester Offices. She specialises in regulatory issues affecting both public and private health sector organisations, especially in relation to their relationship with the Care Quality Commission. She also has extensive experience advising NHS organisations in relation to their public law obligations particularly in relation to the reconfiguration of services.
She regularly represents organisations at Inquests and is experienced in representing organisations in Judicial Reviews and best interest cases.
Belinda's experience includes:
Successfully advising both independent and public healthcare providers during the factual accuracy stage of the CQC process in order to secure changes to the CQC inspection report prior to publication;
Advising an NHS Commissioner on the reconfiguration of dementia services within their area;
Representing an NHS Trust at a high profile multi-party Article 2 jury inquest involving the death of person in custody;
Advising a large foundation trust in relation to a dispute over the proposed treatment of a baby with multiple comorbidities, and successfully obtaining a declaration allowing withdrawal treatment.
Belinda has extensive experience of speaking at conferences and training events concerning a variety of health related issues.
She qualified in 1999 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2010.
