International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the launch of the firm’s new advocacy service following the appointment of barristers Jonathan Robinshaw and Sahar Farooqi as partners within the firm’s Claims Solutions Group.

Jonathan and Sahar previously led the advocacy business of an international law firm and join with a mandate to oversee the creation and development of DAC Beachcroft’s new offering in this space. The duo has been tasked with building a team of barristers, solicitor advocates and advocates, giving DAC Beachcroft’s clients access to a dedicated advocacy and advisory function.

Initially with an emphasis on core, insurance-related disputes work (casualty, motor, property, occupational disease, costs litigation and fraud), it is envisaged that members of the new team will, over time, consider targeted expansion of the range of services to extend to other areas, responding to DAC Beachcroft’s client requirements.

“Our clients want increased flexibility and smarter, quicker delivery of services,” said David Pollitt, DAC Beachcroft’s Managing Partner. “Being in a position to offer them a one-stop shop for their litigation and dispute resolution needs means we can add significant value and give them a tailored service that sets us apart from our competitors.

“This move supports our strategy of pursuing growth in new areas of insurance claims work and strengthens our market position by demonstrating we are providing innovative, integrated and bespoke services to our clients.”

Craig Dickson, CEO of DAC Beachcroft’s Claims Solutions Group, added, “Our aim is to give our clients quality in-house advocacy and advisory services in a streamlined, transparent and accountable manner. Jonathan and Sahar are the market leaders in proving that in-house advocacy works, and we are confident they will hit the ground running at DACB, adding real value for our insurer and commercial clients.”

Speaking on their joining the firm, Jonathan and Sahar said, “Mind sets and approaches are shifting; discerning clients are increasingly searching for innovative, accessible and complete solutions when instructing their lawyers. Whilst retaining independence when delivering robust advice we believe, and have seen over the last decade, that greater collaboration between solicitors and counsel creates a modern and accessible service that clients value.

“We are delighted to join a leading firm whose values and aspirations match our own."
