Wendy Hopkins is the head of the Firm's Global Practice Group in London, and additionally is a member of the International Executive Committee.
She has extensive experience of commercial and insurance dispute resolution, particularly multi-jurisdictional matters and coverage issues arising from global insurance programmes.
Wendy has a substantial product liability and recall practice.
She is experienced both in insurance coverage matters and the defence of liability claims across the supply chain, in a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical and medical devices, consumer goods, packaging, vehicles, industrial goods and construction products/completed works. She advises on numerous related issues such as global claims management and mitigation, product recall, and regulatory matters.
She has particular experience in the defence of group litigation, having acted for manufacturers, suppliers and their insurers in the "Oral Contraceptive", "Toxic Sofa" and "PIP breast implant" group actions, and advised on issues relating to hip replacements and other medical devices.
Wendy additionally advises on major incident property damage, construction, energy and engineering claims.
