Polly McBride

Polly is a Legal Director within the Professional Risks Department and defends professional indemnity claims against a wide range of professionals including valuers, building surveyors, property managers, estate agents, auctioneers and insurance brokers.

Polly's experience includes advising a number of national and international firms of surveyors and London Market Insurers in relation to commercial and residential over-valuations (including development sites, industrial warehouses, hotels, property portfolios, agricultural land and residential property), building survey claims, Japanese Knotweed claims, expert determination and property management claims.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• A national firm of surveyors in respect of a multi-million pound overvaluation claim relating to prime Sottish development land.
• A London-based firm of surveyors in respect of an overvaluation of a new build mixed-used block of flats.
• A large international real estate firm in respect of a multi-party claim for mismanagement of the service charge account relating to a number of large, multi-tenanted blocks of residential flats.

Polly also regularly delivers training and writes articles, a number of which are published nationally.
