Peter has over 15 years' experience of providing advice to the public sector. He specialises in healthcare law providing advice on inquests, capacity, judicial reviews, public inquiries, issues arising under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, human rights and confidentiality.
He has been involved in two of the leading cases concerning challenges to NHS duties to consult on changes to the provision of health services. He regularly advises on issues relating to applications for the provision or withdrawal of treatment and issues involving mental health.
Recently, he has concluded a public inquiry relating to the death of a young child by her mother.
Peter has also delivered training to public sector clients on inquests and the proposed reforms to the Coroners Act, judicial reviews, Mental Capacity Act and Corporate Manslaughter Act.
