Lesley Hughes leads the real estate litigation team in the Northern region. She specialises in all aspects of commercial property litigation especially landlord and tenant disputes, including those with an insolvency aspect and is recognised for her expertise in the legal directories.
She has extensive experience in complex service charge and dilapidations claims, and issues arising from development agreements.
She frequently advises on the exercise of break rights. She has expertise in the area of rent reimbursement claims under NHS contracts.
Lesley works for both public and private sector clients.
She has recently dealt with:
Declaratory proceedings in relation to a £50 million break clause;
Termination of conditional development agreements;
Complex town centre regeneration for local authorities, including procurement, landlord and tenant, listed building and rights to light advice.
