  • Biography

    Caroline specialises in high value, complex motor, employers liability and public liability claims.

    She has over 19 years’ experience advising a range of insurance client’s across a range of sectors including construction, manufacturing, fleet and the public sector. Her key client includes Zurich Insurance plc.

    Caroline has specific experience in dealing with chronic pain, CRPS, fibromyalgia, subtle brain injury and somatisation cases. In addition she has a special interest in cyclist claims and other developing transport areas.

    Relevant experience includes advising:

    • Defence of a landlord where a tenant suffered severe, life changing burns where the Claimant alleged defects with the rented property and failure to provide safety equipment. The Claimant discontinued prior to witness exchange.
    • Settlement of a brachial plexus claim brought by a young motorcyclist at circa 10% of the pleaded value due to arguments of dishonesty and exaggeration.

    Caroline has recently teamed up with Emily Formby QC, 39 Essex chambers, for a series of podcasts dealing with vulnerable road users. They talk with people within the cycle industry to learn more about maintenance, insurance and accident reconstruction but also cover recent case law developments. Each episode covers a specific topic so can be dipped into or the whole series listened to from start to finish. Series 2 on its way in Autumn 2021!  You can listen to the podcasts here.
