Overview

Lawyers from DAC Beachcroft’s Commercial team have advised on a significant Property Lettings and Management Agreement for leading London property services business, Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH).

The deal, which completed last month, cements KFH’s appointment by EQT Real Estate and Sigma Capital Group’s joint venture to let and manage an extensive residential portfolio across London. The DACB team was led by associate Alistair Cooper and included partner Tim Ryan and solicitor Kelsey Farish. Associate Richard Kay supported on the employment aspects. The team worked closely with KFH Group Operations Director Paul Masters throughout.

The successful completion of this matter was the culmination of a number of weeks of negotiation, and affirms the DACB team’s growing expertise at the intersection between commercial / technology matters and real estate, both in relation to PropTech and more generally.

Paul Masters commented: “This is a major new business win for KFH, and DAC Beachcroft’s advice was invaluable while we concluded the contract negotiations, beyond the commercial terms we had already agreed with our client. The DACB team quickly got to work on the draft agreement and navigated their way through some complex discussions with the other side to a successful conclusion."
