Overview

To help businesses navigate the immigration system, DAC Beachcroft has launched an immigration helpline which gives businesses the opportunity to have a free 30 minute discussion with one of our immigration specialists.

Accessing the helpline

The helpline is easily accessible by completing a short online form which can be found here.

Once we receive a form, a member of our team will be in contact to book an appointment. For urgent requests, same day appointments can be booked by specifying this on the form.

During the discussion we will be able to explore the particular query, obtain the relevant background and identify what advice may be required to progress or resolve the matter.

Areas of immigration law covered by the helpline

Currently, the helpline covers all of the following immigration matters:

  • Sponsorship under the Points Based System
  • Right to work
  • EU Settlement Scheme
  • Tier 1 (Investor) and Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)
  • Tier 2 visas
  • Tier 5 visas
  • Start-up visas
  • Innovator visas
  • Global Talent visas

Our Immigration Team is led by Shahjahan Ali who has over 11 years’ of experience advising businesses and individuals on immigration matters and is ranked in Tier 1 by Legal 500. Shahjahan is recognised as an expert in the field by LexisNexis and Westlaw.

The range of matters the team assists with include visa applications for financial managers and directors, marketing professionals, IT analysts, systems designers, software and programming professionals, management consultants and data scientists.

We support employers in connection with their sponsorship licences, in particular, obtaining a sponsorship licence and complying with duties arising under their sponsorship licence. The team has successfully navigated clients through immigration audits and resolved non-compliance issues with the Home Office enabling our clients to retain their A rating.

The Immigration Team has also provided strategic advice to clients in connection with Brexit, particularly on obtaining immigration status under the EU Settlement Scheme and supporting large numbers of EU staff with the process of applying under the EU Settlement Scheme.
