Nick specialises in construction and engineering issues both in the UK and on major international projects, focusing on contractual matters. He has acted for clients all over the world.

He regularly advises funders, tenants, developers and contractors on contractual arrangements, procurement, professional appointments, warranties and bonds on a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use development schemes, major infrastructure projects, dredging and process engineering. He also has expertise on construction issues surrounding corporate insolvency, such as management and ownership issues for 'part-builds'.

Also, Nick leads the non-contentious construction team within the firm and some of his recent work includes advising on the construction of a number of retail parks in South East England, advising an investment fund on a number of super-prime residential developments in central London, advising a number of residential developers and energy services providers in relation to the phased construction, subsequent operation and maintenance of district heat networks.
