Luis Enrique Rodríguez González is a Partner in DAC Beachcroft’s Madrid office, within the firm’s Global Insurance practice. 

He has over 15 years’ experience advising insurers and reinsurers on contentious insurance matters, including coverage disputes, liability claims and complex multi‑party cases. His work regularly involves industrial and large‑loss risks, often with cross‑border aspects. He focuses in the areas of construction, energy, product liability, fires, machinery breakdown, fraud and tort law. 

Luis Enrique has experience in both private practice and in‑house roles. He previously worked in‑house within a global insurance group, where he was involved in the management of complex claims and supported internal decision‑making on dispute strategy. This background allows him to advise clients with a clear understanding of commercial priorities and operational considerations. 

Before rejoining DAC Beachcroft, he practised at international law firms in Spain, acting for insurers and reinsurers on complex insurance disputes and claims‑related work. 

He is fluent in Spanish and English.

• Advising insurers on coverage issues (exclusions, time scope, international insurance programs) in complex or international claims. Review and adaptation of policies (property, casualty, CAR...). 
• Advising insurers at the pre-litigation stages and on out-of court settlements. Negotiations, mediation and arbitration. Wide experience in proceedings before all kind of Spanish Courts. Monitoring international claims and working with lawyers and experts of other jurisdictions (Europe, US, Latam, Australia…). 
• Arbitrator of the Spanish Court of Arbitration for disputes related to the insurance sector. 
• Analysing the feasibility of the subrogation and taking legal actions to maximize the recovery for insurers. 
• Preparing and delivering training sessions for insurance companies on relevant or trendy topics.
