Carol has 30 years' experience of commercial health IT and technology projects and leads the MES and MSC team that specialises in advising on large managed equipment and managed services procurements for diagnostic imaging and pathology.

She specialises in all aspects of commercial contract and procurement advice ranging from strategic advice on procurement structure, contract drafting and legal/commercial negotiations. Clients include public sector procuring entities, independent sector purchasers and technology suppliers. In addition, Carol is a specialist in healthcare IT projects such as PACS, RIS, LIMS, EPR as well as general healthcare software projects. 

Carol is also the lead adviser on the NHS Commercial Solutions Diagnostic Imaging Framework and has advised numerous clients on call offs from the Framework.

Relevant experience includes: 

• Advising a significant number of pathology networks on their collaborative procurements for pathology managed services contracts, pathology LIMS contracts and digital programmes, and network commercial operating models (e.g. joint ventures and hosted models) 

• Advising numerous NHS Trusts on managed equipment services projects for imaging, cardiology, endoscopy and related healthcare technology 

• Advising on healthcare IT projects such as procurements for electronic patient records, laboratory information management systems, AI enabled healthcare software under frameworks or as standalone procurements
