International law firm DAC Beachcroft has advised Newcastle University on the restoration of Henderson Old Hall, a Grade II listed building that was severely damaged by fire in 2023.
The DACB team provided construction contract and legal support as the University developed plans to restore one of its most recognisable buildings.
Henderson Old Hall has long been associated with Newcastle University's student community and is regarded as a valued part of the institution's heritage.
The start of the works marks a key milestone in bringing the hall back into use. The initial phase is focused on replacing the roof, external doors and windows to make the building weatherproof and watertight.
