Tim has been defending the legal profession for 20 years. He has advised many of the UK's legal practices and is regarded as a trusted adviser to a number of the Top 50 law firms.

Tim also advises solicitors on regulatory, disciplinary, and risk-related issues and is recognised by Chambers & Partners and Lexology Index as a leading professional indemnity lawyer in this area. 

In addition, Tim regularly handles high value and complex insurance coverage disputes across all lines of professional indemnity. 

Tim was appointed as the Legal Representative to the Lloyd's Market Association International PI Committee in May 2026.

• Successfully defended a firm of solicitors against a multi-million pound claim in the High Court and the Court of Appeal concerning the underlying settlement of litigation in bankruptcy proceedings – Blower v GH Canfields LLP [2024] EWHC 2763 (Ch) and [2025] EWCA Civ 1627 

• Acting for a large London firm in the defence of multi-party High Court proceedings concerning tax advice to a Jersey trust giving rise to a tax liability on a central London property of c.£8m 

• Defending a large number of law firms and their insurers concerning advice on buyer funded developments where the total quantum of those claims exceeded £20m 

• Representing insurers at arbitration in a policy coverage attachment dispute relating to multiple claims against a firm of solicitors where the quantum of the underlying claims totalled c.£80m
