Anna has over 25 years’ experience advising clients across a range of medical specialties including obstetrics, spinal injury, and general practice. Her key clients include NHS Resolution and the Medical Defence Union. 

Anna has extensive experience of advising on the defence of complex claims brought against NHS Trusts and individuals. She has successfully defended claims at trial. She understands the issues facing her clients and those individuals involved in claims. 

Featured experience:

• Successfully defending, at trial, a spinal injury claim against Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The claim involved a number of the Trust's consultant neurosurgeons and was of importance individually on a reputational basis and Trust wide. Her role included significant support of the witnesses throughout the claim and at trial and an understanding of the importance to them and the Trust of defending the claim. 
• Acting for the NHS in complex birth injury cases that were resolved for more than £20 million 
• Managing a number of claims brought against GPs, predominantly relating to alleged delays in diagnosing cancer
