Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has announced the appointment of Luis Enrique Rodríguez González as a partner in its Global Insurance practice in Madrid.

Luis Enrique brings more than 15 years’ experience in insurance disputes resolution. He specialises in industrial risks and has an extensive track record advising on complex, high‑value coverage issues. His practice spans coverage advice, claims handling, and representation in mediation, arbitration, and litigation at all levels.

A recognised figure in the Spanish insurance market, Luis Enrique spent part of his early career at DACB, then built a 12-year tenure at Clyde & Co, before becoming Head of Claims for Everest in Spain.

This breadth of experience gives him deep insight into insurers’ operational priorities, decision making processes, and commercial challenges. He has also advised the vast majority of national and international insurers operating in the country.

Luis joins the firm alongside lawyer Marta Cerrada Pérez, a specialist in international arbitration and litigation. Marta also arrives from Everest, having previously spent five years at Clyde & Co.

Pablo Guillén, partner and Practice Head of DACB’s Madrid office, commented, "Luis Enrique rejoins the firm at a strategically important moment. Over the past five years, DACB’s Madrid office has consolidated its reputation for handling technically demanding, cross-border and high stakes disputes, and client demand continues to grow. His expertise, his industry relationships, and his understanding of client needs make him an exceptional addition to our team. We are delighted to welcome him back to DACB."

Gustavo Blanco, DACB's Head of International Business, added, "We have bold plans for the continued growth of our international practice, and bringing in market-leading talent supports our long term ambition to remain the adviser of choice for complex insurance matters. Luis Enrique's arrival strengthens DACB’s already strong industrial risks capability and further enhances our ability to deliver practical, business focused solutions."

Commenting on his appointment, Luis Enrique said, "Returning to DAC Beachcroft feels like a natural step at this stage of my career. The firm has built an exceptional standing in the Spanish insurance market, and has a dynamic and ambitious team. I am excited to contribute to the continued growth of the industrial risks practice and to work again with colleagues I have known and respected for many years. I am also very happy that Marta Cerrada is joining DACB as well, so that we can continue working together as we have done in Clyde & Co and Everest over the past years."
