About Swarnim

Bio
  • Biography

Swarnim is an Advocate in our specialist advocacy service, 8 DAC Beachcroft Buildings (8DB), with substantial experience in representing clients in a range of Small Claims County Court matters such as road traffic accidents, credit hire, and OIC claims.

Prior to joining DAC Beachcroft, she worked as a County Court Advocate representing clients in a range of Small Claims hearings involving road traffic accidents, credit hire, Consumer Credit Act disputes, possession matters and injunctions in housing matters.

Swarnim also previously volunteered with Support Through Court for four years, assisting litigants in person with drafting and providing both practical and emotional support throughout litigation. This experience strengthened her client and witness handling skills and her ability to communicate clearly with individuals unfamiliar with the litigation.

In addition to oral advocacy, Swarnim has a strong paper practice, drafting applications, pleadings, and advice across all areas of her specialism.

    Featured experience:

    • In D v E [2025] Swarnim, acting for the defendant, successfully challenged the admissibility of the claimant’s witness statement, leading to the claim being summarily dismissed
    • In A v R [2025] Swarnim, acting for the defendant, successfully defended claimant’s application to withdraw admission of liability
    • In L v Y [2025], Swarnim defended a claim arising from a collision on an icy rural road by demonstrating that the claimant failed to drive safely for the prevailing conditions
