Helena accepts instructions in all areas of 8DB's core specialisms. She is regularly instructed on interlocutory hearings, small claims, fast/ intermediate track trials, CMCs and CCMCs, and Stage 3 hearings.

Helena is also quickly building a paperwork practice across all 8DB's specialisms, with a particular focus on personal injury, occupiers' liability/ employers' liability claims, and specialist liability cases, and is keen to take on instructions in industrial disease litigation and clinical negligence.

Helena is keen to expand her property recoveries practice and is happy to provide training seminars and workshops to lawyers and clients.

Prior to joining Chambers, Helena worked as a Litigation Paralegal at Circle Health Group in which she managed a case load of pre-action and litigated clinical negligence, EL/PL cases, and regulatory matters, including inquests. 

Featured experience:

• S G v AH: Successfully defending a public liability claim for ongoing injuries including shoulder pain 

• S C v Aviva: Representing the successful respondent in a very late application to rely on two additional medical reports and for relief from sanctions for a failure to comply with an order for the service of an updated schedule of loss. The claim proceeded to trial on the same day and was dismissed in full. 

• K L v Aviva: Representing the defendant in a claim for credit hire of over £42,000. The Court found the claimant not to be impecunious, and the defendant beat two Part 36 offers.

• N H v D S: Successfully defending a personal injury claim following a collision between the claimant's pedal cycle and the defendant's vehicle
