His expertise spans contentious and non-contentious insurance and reinsurance matters, delegated authority and distribution arrangements, product governance, and financial services regulatory compliance. 

    Jonathan regularly contributes to industry thought leadership through publications, market commentary and speaking engagements on insurance, reinsurance, cyber, AI and emerging risks. 

    Jonathan's recent experience includes: 

    • Advising on AI-related coverage and wordings issues, including affirmative cover, exclusions, endorsements, and associated regulatory considerations 
    • Acting for cyber market participants on silent cyber, cyber war/terrorism exclusions, and systemic risks in cyber 
    • Advising on war and terrorism exclusions in the context of active conflicts 
    • Reviewing and updating books of open market wordings for London market insurers and drafting excess layer, PI, FI/D&O, W&I, casualty, property, terrorism and political violence wordings 
    • Advising on insurability issues, including the insurability of paying ransoms and some of the largest GDPR fines to date
