International law firm DAC Beachcroft has been recognised with a major national honour at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026.
DACB was named Legal Advisors of the Year (Private) in London last night at the annual awards which celebrate excellence across the health and social care sector.
The award – selected by an independent panel of senior industry leaders – recognises firms that have delivered standout advice and support to private health and social care providers.
The judges noted DACB's "fantastic mix of services across the healthcare sector", and "landmark work to define the relationship between the hospital and the consultant, which has implications for all acute providers".
DACB is a leading legal adviser to independent health and social care organisations across the UK, acting for NHS and independent hospitals, social care providers, commissioners, regulators, life sciences, MedTech and digital health companies, investors and insurers.
Udara Ranasinghe, who chairs DACB's Independent Health Group, said, “DACB is proud to operate at the forefront of healthcare law, supporting UK independent health and social care providers and advising on some of the sector’s most complex and high-impact issues.
"This award is testament to the innovative, high-quality and often complex work delivered every day by colleagues across our health sector business. It also reflects the collaboration and expertise of teams across multiple practice groups, whose collective efforts continue to drive real impact for our clients."
Hamza Drabu, Head of Health at DACB, added, "Securing another HealthInvestor Award represents a strong endorsement of the depth and breadth of our work, as well as the expertise, insight and dedication of our people. We are grateful for the trust our clients continue to place in us as we work with them to overcome strategically significant legal challenges.”
DACB was also shortlisted in the Legal Advisors of the Year (Public) and Legal Advisors of the Year (Transactional) categories at last night's awards, underlining the strength of the firm's offering across the health and social care sector.
