  • BiografĂ­a

    Michael advises public and private companies, and public sector bodies on a broad range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, buy-outs, and equity fundraisings. He has particular experience in the real estate, financial services, healthcare, and tech sectors.

    Michael's experience includes advising: 

    • The shareholders of Atlantic House Holdings Limited on its c.£150m sale to NY listed WisdomTree 
    • Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on the acquisition of a 25% stake in St James Quarter, Edinburgh alongside Dutch pension investor APG 
    • International Distribution Services, the owner of Royal Mail, on the acquisition of a 49% stake in Collect+, alongside majority owner PayPoint plc 
    • Landsec on the purchase of its 92% stake in the Liverpool One shopping centre 
    • Quintain (the UK developer backed by Lone Star) on the disposal of two BTR schemes totalling 490 homes to funds managed by KKR 
    • The founding shareholders of TC Group, the top 20 accountancy firm, on its strategic investment from Inflexion 
    • TC Group on numerous acquisitions throughout the UK 
    • The UK arm of the deVere Group on its strategic partnership with Fidelius Group 
    • UK charity Brainkind on the acquisition of three neurological care centres from Sue Ryder 
    • The shareholders of Breathe Energy on its disposal to Imtech (a joint venture between EDF and Dalkia) 
    • Mobeus Private Equity on the management buyout of Kinneir Dufort 
    • St. James's Place on numerous acquisitions including the acquisition of its cornerstone international wealth management business in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai and the acquisition of the Rowan Dartington Group 
    • Southampton NHS Foundation Trust on the disposal of the Complete Fertility Centre to Virtus Health 
    • The shareholders of The Serviced Apartment Company on its disposal to Oaktree Capital 
    • Ultraleap on a number of fundraising rounds, including on its oversubscribed $82m Series D fundraising and its acquisition of Silicon Valley based Leap Motion
