She has over 30 years’ experience advising insurance clients across a range of complex personal injury claims, but for the past 15 years has specialised in handling cases of chronic pain.

Featured experience:

• Advising on a low-speed accident claim which developed into one of chronic pain and PTSD, secured a finding of fundamental dishonesty at trial in a case worth over £130,000 and securing an interim costs order of £140,000 
• Advising on a claim where the claimant sustained significant leg fractures in a road traffic accident and went on to develop chronic pain; however, substantial investigation revealed the claimant to have exaggerated her ongoing disabilities, and the claim was struck out saving insurers almost £1m 
• Advising on an FND claim pleaded at more than £700,000 and which settled for £55,000 after securing early surveillance of the claimant, substantially limiting the claimant’s costs recovery due to an early Defendant Part 36 offer.
