Gavin also has experience in dealing with RTA and foreign matters, and deals with complex injury and large loss claims including stress/harassment/bullying, chronic pain, assaults, and psychiatric injuries.

Gavin's relevant experience includes:

• Dealing with a fatal accident claim for an occupier stemming from horseplay by guests at a work Christmas party when one guest pushed another from height with tragic consequences
• Advising a multinational technology firm on the vicarious liability implications for purported self-employed contractors
• Defending a claim for alleged rape / sexual assault by a member of cabin crew against a pilot colleague whilst on a foreign stopover
• Dealing with a highly unusual claim involving a claimant who developed laryngeal dystonia due to adverse psychiatric reaction, after being involved in a fire on a building site. This included securing a 50% contribution from the electrical subcontractor on-site.
• Successfully raising causation arguments on a chronic back injury claim resulting in a claim of £1million being reduced to c. £50,000
• Investigating a claim for carbon monoxide poisoning at a steelworks which involved subsequent neurological complaints from the claimant. The claim was settled in full by the EL insurer but a full recovery was secured from the occupier.
• Acting as a client relationship partner for a number of 'blue chip' corporate clients.
