Insurance coverage litigation and advice 

Soo provides coverage advice and litigates complex coverage disputes on behalf of domestic and international insurers. She has experience in a broad range of policies including commercial general liability, umbrella/excess liability, professional liability, errors and omissions, marine, and commercial property. Soo has handled coverage matters involving drug and product liability, environmental contamination, construction defect, and bad faith claims.

Soo manages disputes in litigation and arbitration and has experience in US state and federal courts, coordinated proceedings, and multi-district litigation (MDLs), as well as US and UK arbitration proceedings. Her litigation experience includes managing all phases of discovery, e-discovery, and experts. 

Health benefits litigation 

Soo has defended life, health, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment claims, representing health insurers, self-funded plans, plan administrators, and employers including in cases governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Federal Employees Health Benefits Act (FEHBA), and the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) program. 

Experienced in life, health, and disability litigation, including complex issues involving ERISA, FEHBA, Medicare/Medicaid pre-emption, payor-provider disputes, nonparticipating provider reimbursement claims, and cases involving the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), Soo manages litigation from inception through all phases of pre-trial litigation. Soo counsels her clients to achieve beneficial results. 

Soo is a Member of the American Bar Association (Chair, Tort and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), Life, Health & Disability Committee).
