Kelly has an extensive background in Court of Protection work. Kelly previously worked as an in-house solicitor at a local authority. Prior to this, she worked in civil litigation for 10 years.

She has experience in a variety of cases involving Mental Capacity Act 2005, Care Act 2014 and Mental Health Act 1983 legislation. 

Kelly has provided training to clients around Court of Protection, Deprivation of Liberty, and the Coroner’s Court.

• Complex s.21A case in the Court of Protection with issues relating to sexual contact and risk of suicide 

• Representation in various contested Community Deprivation of Liberty cases with litigants in person; issues relating to contact with others and items and belongings; and potential fact-finding hearings
