Clarissa has advised on arbitrations in the LCIA, ICC, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, HKIAC, SIAC, SCC and AAA, and FOSFA. She is sitting as a sole arbitrator in a DIAC arbitration. She regularly speaks on arbitral matters including at the Paris Arbitration Week, London International Disputes Week, Commercial Legal Summit, the Annual Conference on Energy Arbitration and Dispute Resolution in MENA, TLVAW, panels with the ICC, HKIAC, CIARB, and the London Chamber of Arbitration and Mediation. She was profiled in the Mute Off list of arbitrators.
Clarissa has huge experience (private practice and in-house) of claims in court and in arbitration relating to private equity structures, fee agreements, shareholder agreements, failed joint ventures, regulatory investigations, and contractual disputes.
Clarissa acted for Mr Tinkler in the public boardroom dispute between him and Stobart Group Plc. She was also seconded as Deputy General Counsel to ENRC plc, a FTSE 100 mining company, where she managed a multi-jurisdictional investigation into claims of fraud, bribery, and corruption.
Clarissa spent two years in-house as Head of Litigation for Vincent Tchenguiz (CBG). Clarissa co-ordinated the response to a high-profile dawn raid and planned the judicial review against the SFO, which dropped its investigation and settled with Tchenguiz for an undisclosed amount.
Clarissa is Co-Chair of the arbitration group, Mute Off Thursdays. She is listed as a leading lawyer for the UK in Who's Who Legal: Investigations and Women in Business Law.
