Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has reappointed partner Heather Durston-Hillyer as Location Head of its Southampton office. Her second three-year term will start from 1 June 2024.

Heather specialises in clinical negligence claims defending a range of NHS and private health clients.  She has more than 25 years’ experience advising NHS Resolution (formerly NHSLA), the Medical Defence Union and NHS Trusts across the South East of England.

During her first term as Location Head, Heather oversaw the relocation of DACB's Winchester office to Southampton.  The new office, situated near Southampton Central Station, is conveniently located for a number of the firm's clients and supports DACB's hybrid ways of working with spaces for colleagues to use for collaboration, concentration and wellbeing.

Commenting on her reappointment, Heather said, “I am very pleased to be staying on as Location Head.  Over the last three years we have continued to strengthen our reputation for providing a pre-eminent service to the insurance and healthcare sectors, and I'm looking forward to building on our successes during my next term."

DACB’s Senior Partner Virginia Clegg added, "Heather has done an outstanding job leading our Southampton office, including overseeing the office move last year.  I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with her."
