Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of charity law partner Emma-Jane Dalley.

Emma-Jane joins DACB from Veale Wasbrough Vizards, where she headed the firm’s charity sector, advising on all types of charity, and particularly those in the health and social care and education sectors.

The appointment further strengthens DACB’s full service offering for all charities, and bolsters a vital segment of DACB’s offering for its health and social care clients.

Nigel Montgomery, partner and Head of Health at DAC Beachcroft, comments,

“Charitable organisations have a highly significant and growing role in both the health sector and in delivering social care services.  This was perpetuated by the pandemic, when charities supporting the sector saw a 68% growth in demand for their services.  It is also recognised in NHS strategy, which emphasises the need to partner with and champion charities who provide support for people who are vulnerable or at-risk.

“The strategic growth of our health business is driven by client demand and I am delighted to welcome Emma-Jane as we continue to strengthen the full service offering of our charities team, and further develop our already market-leading health team.”

Emma-Jane adds, “This is an exciting time to be a charity lawyer.  The scale, breadth and strength in depth of DACB’s team, coupled with its commercial approach, provides an unparalleled understanding of the market and enables the firm to provide advice on all aspects of a charity’s operational needs.  I am thrilled to join the team and I look forward to supporting clients in the realisation of their ambitions.”

DACB is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal advisor to the health and social care sector in the UK and internationally, providing innovative and practical support to more than 300 public sector and independent healthcare clients.

Emma-Jane’s appointment is the fifth partner hire to the firm’s health sector practice within the past 12 months, strengthening the team of over 250 experts working across 11 locations in the UK, with access to 32 offices across the globe.

The firm was named  ‘Legal Advisor of the Year’ in both the public and the independent healthcare categories at the HealthInvestor Awards 2021, which recognise the firms that have delivered the most outstanding and innovative support to the sector.
