Oliver joins DACB from Hempsons where he was national head of projects, with significant experience in contentious and non-contentious public procurement law, healthcare projects, commercial contracting and subsidy law.
Oliver’s appointment is the second partner hire to the firm’s health sector practice in 2022 (charity law partner Emma-Jane Dalley joined DACB in February) and follows four health partner hires in 2021, namely Emily Senior (clinical negligence), Katherine Calder (public procurement) as well as North of England based partners David Hill (public law) and David Roberts (clinical negligence). The appointments strengthen DACB’s health team of over 250 experts working across 11 locations in the UK, with access to 32 offices across the globe.
Nigel Montgomery, partner and head of health at DACB, comments, “The growth of our health business is driven by client demand and I am delighted to welcome Oliver, whose excellent reputation both regionally and nationally will bolster our capabilities in delivering on both national projects and their local implementation.”
Oliver adds, “There is an unfulfilled demand for health sector legal services in the North West and a great opportunity to support client ambitions locally with a team that has a complete understanding of the regional challenges, bolstered by all of the efficiencies of a national approach. DAC Beachcroft’s reputation for the breadth and depth of its work as trusted advisers to the health and social care sector is second to none and I look forward to working with the team and developing the firm’s already outstanding capabilities to the benefit of clients.”
DACB is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal advisor to the health and social care sector in the UK and internationally, providing innovative and practical support to more than 300 public sector and independent healthcare clients.
Most recently the firm was named ‘Legal Advisor of the Year’ in both the public and the independent healthcare categories at the Health Investor Awards 2021, which recognise the firms that have delivered the most outstanding and innovative support to the sector.
