    Sean Doherty is a clinical risk lawyer in our Manchester and Leeds offices. He specialises in clinical negligence.

    Sean is a Nominated Partner for NHS Resolution (formerly the NHS Litigation Authority) dealing with clinical negligence claims on their behalf for Trusts across Yorkshire, the North East and North West. He has many years' experience of dealing with catastrophic birth and brain injury claims. Sean is a keen advocate holding Higher Rights of Audience in the civil courts.  

    Sean manages for NHS Resolution serial group actions brought against the NHS arising from the actions of individual orthopaedic surgeons, and also metal hip claims pursued against the NHS nationally involving various manufacturers of metal components.

    Sean also advises on Risk Management issues as a result of claims and provides training to NHS Legal Services and Risk Managers on this subject.
