Liz Donnelly

Liz specialises in real estate with a focus on commercial development and investment.

She has over 20 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including commercial and public sector development and investment, asset management, corporate occupiers and corporate support work. Her key clients include north west based developers and local authorities.

Liz’s breadth of experience in real estate investment, development and asset management transactions (acting for both landlord and tenant) brings in-depth understanding to the needs of clients and their counterparts, which in turns allows for timely and effective solutions to negotiations.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• A north west based developer, Property Alliance Group, on three mixed use schemes in city centre Manchester. This included creating a suitable structure for the sale of leasehold apartments and safeguarding the interest in the commercial units ,dealing with existing easements and covenants to allow development, drafting, negotiating and completing complicated airspace development leases with the City and Canal Company and £100 million development finance.
• Burnley Borough Council on a development agreement for the cinema led regeneration of part of the town centre, including pre-lets for the cinema tenant and drafting suitable precedent leases for use in securing end users for the remaining retail and leisure units.
• Blackpool Borough Council on the £47 million acquisition of Houndshill Shopping Centre out of receivership.
• A provider of shared office workspace in relation to the acquisition of various leasehold premises.
