Katie specialises in all aspects of motor claims handling.

She has over 12 years’ experience advising clients across the motor sector to include claims handling and fast track litigation.

Her team are expert in handling pre-litigation claims for insurers and corporate clients. This includes distress outsource volumes, ongoing MOJ Portal capability, first and third party damage and credit hire with the claims varying in nature from windscreen repairs to catastrophic injury. Katie supervises the senior members of her team dealing with cases with a value up to £100,000 as well as being responsible for the technical training and development of junior team members. Katie specialises in indemnity, MOJ and complex pre litigated credit hire cases having defended and advised on these claims for a wide range of clients. Katie also has extensive experience in dealing with both fast track and multi-track motor litigated cases.

Relevant experience includes:

• Supervising the handling of a large commercial client involving 26 passengers which initially appeared to be a fault claim. Utilising telematics and CCTV evidence successfully defended the passenger claims but also identified fraudulent activity which was later investigated by our specialist fraud team.
• Successfully proving mistaken identity in a serious collision involving personal injury, complex credit hire and significant property damage to include highway clean up and damage to highway furniture. Utilising telematics CCTV and collecting early evidence at the time of report assisted in the redirection of the claim in excess of £100,000.
