James Oelschlaegel

James specialises in defending clinical negligence claims brought against NHS Trusts, GPs and dental practitioners.

He has over 5 years’ experience in the clinical negligence field; and over 12 years’ total experience in defendant claims management, having previously represented Insurers and their Insureds in respect of employers' liability, public liability, and road traffic accident claims.

James frequently acts for NHS Resolution and the Medical and Dental Defence Union, on a wide range of cases including those involving the deaths of patients, amputations, delayed diagnosis of cancer, and mental health issues.

James also provides training to clients, and has previously acted as an in-house Claims Specialist for NHS England.
