Caroline specialises in catastrophic/large loss motor, EL and PL claims for large insurers and corporate clients. She has expertise in cases involving exaggeration and dishonesty. She also advises clients on policy wording.

Relevant experience includes: 

• Acting for large insurance companies and corporate clients on catastrophic and large loss claims from first notification to settlement or trial.
• Identifying exaggerated and fundamentally dishonest claims leading to discontinuance or settlement for significantly reduced damages.
• Dealing with complex or “sensitive” claims which involve “thinking outside the box”.
• Trial successes in liability and quantum including a 5-day remote quantum trial during early weeks of lockdown reported on social media - BLM - News - Merit of early part 36 offer determined following 5 day remote trial (blmlaw.com).
• Sharing knowledge with clients including Webinar in association with Edward Broome and Helen Paggett of Crown Office Chambers “Does this Cloud have a Silver Lining”.
• Providing training to clients and prospective clients, for example, the developing insight into the potential association between early onset dementia and brain injury.
• Previously Member of BLM National Catastrophic Injury Practice Group.
